Allergic reaction to gelatin or neomycin: MMR, Varicella, Zoster
Allergic reaction to yeast: HPV Hepatitis B

MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Live attenuated vaccine → Risk of fetal infection
Varicella (Chickenpox) Live virus may cause congenital varicella syndrome
Zoster (Live, Shingles Vaccine) Live virus, potential risk to fetus
Yellow Fever Avoid unless high risk of exposure; potential risk to fetus
BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin, TB Vaccine) Live vaccine; risk of systemic infection in mother & fetus
Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) Live vaccine, not recommended in pregnancy
Recommended for asplenia
Vaccines not recommended for asplenia
🔴 Vaccines to AVOID in Asplenia
🚫 Live vaccines should be used cautiously in severely immunocompromised individuals, but are NOT absolutely contraindicated in asplenia.
Live Oral Typhoid Vaccine (Vivotif) Use injectable typhoid vaccine (ViCPS) instead
Live Influenza (FluMist) Use inactivated flu vaccine instead
BCG (Tuberculosis Vaccine) Not routinely recommended
