A
Aim
- Prevent secondary injury
- Maintain / optimise cerebral perfusion
- ICP < 20mmHg

Reducing ICP
A
- Osmotic diuretic - Mannitol 20% (0.25-1g/kg OR Hypertonic saline
- Drainage of CSF (external ventricular drain)
- surgical decompression - craniectomy
