refer to ways in which parties in conflict aim to turn ‘spaces’ into ‘places’ (contesting place - changing / destroying)
Politics of Scale
‘level up’ local to national to international (scale-jumping)
(by manipulation of relations of power and authority)
e.g. Yellow Vest movement
Politics of Networking
face to face or virtual space for mobilizing people
Politics of (im)mobility
the material or virtual movability of individuals and objects within and between place and through space-time
Place-making process (4)
