A
Mild pain
Moderate to severe pain in addition of other drugs/medicines

Severe allergy
3rd trimester of pregnancy

A
Taken within last 4 hours Abdominal pain ( unwell / vomiting ) Aged 75 or older Dehydration or shock Known renal impairment Known bleeding Clinically significant bleeding Bronchospasm worsening with NSAIDS Taking warfarin Pregnancy

MOA ( mechanism of action )
A
Ibuprofen is a NSAID this is predominately used in treating pain
Inhibits prostaglandin synthetase and prostaglandin production resulting in reduction in pain, inflammation and fever

<80kg 400mg
>80kg 600mg

A
Increased bleeding
Renal impairment
Long term effects
Gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration
Displaces warfarin
