Acute MI w/cardiogenic shock, post CABG
Cardiogenic Shock-objective signs of shock d/t heart failure: PAWP > 18-20, decreased UOP < 0.5 ml/kg/hr, SPB< 80 mmHg
Contraindications IABP
Aortic Insufficiency/disease
Severe peripheral vascular disease
Aortic regurgitation
Heparin induced thrombocytopenia
What is the position of the IABP?
Just below subclavian & above renal arteries.
