I stand up for Erica (again) Flashcards
Now, hold it right there!
She doesn’t mean it, Erica. She knows your the only thing holding this show together.
Right. About that, come over here and get me out of these!
Brett!
Your right. I know just the person!
Not Erica!
How did you- fine.
But she’s right. We shouldn’t be the ones pointing fingers or growing suspicious of one another. Someone else needs to figure this out for us.
I’ve got it!
Not Erica!
And they always seem to be able to recognize the killer before anyone else does.
Who?!
The critics! We’ll invite a theater critic!
No! That’s a terrible idea! Are you joking?!
They’ll write a scathing review that will appear in tomorrow mornings paper!
And no one will come for opening night! There is at least a chance that people will show up tomorrow if they don’t know any better!
You know, I think she’s onto something there. And you’re right, Brett. Theater critics always seem to unravel the plot before anyone else does. They might actually be able to tell us why the inspectors keep dying.
Or who killed the inspectors.
Speak of the devil.
Adele Sears is the theatre columnist, isn’t she?
