absolute power
the principle of complete and unrestricted government power, usually in the hands of one person, a dictator or despot, in control fo everything.
decadent
To be decadent is to be in the process of decay, so a powerful nation may be said to be in a decadent stage if its power is fading. But the word is more often used to speak of moral decay.
corrupt
Someone who is corrupt behaves in a way that is morally wrong, especially by doing dishonest or illegal things in return for money or power.
