What is the hypopharynx?
The hypopharynx extends from the plane of the hyoid bone and the pharyngoepiglottic fold to the plane of the lower border of the cricoid cartilage inferiorly.

What are the methods for detection and diagnosis of hypopharynx conditions?
Inspection, palpation, biopsy, fiber optic endoscopy, CT/MRI/PET
What is HPC lymphatic drainage?
Superior deep, middle, and low jugular nodes
What is the superior border for PC radiation treatment?
The superior border is the inferior border of the mandible and mastoid process, extending to the base of the skull.
What is the inferior border for PC radiation treatment?
The inferior border is the lower border of the cricoid cartilage with a margin of 1.5 to 2.0 cm.
What is the anterior border for PC radiation treatment?
The anterior border is in front of the thyroid cartilage with a 1 cm flash if the larynx is involved.
What is the posterior border for PC radiation treatment?
The posterior border is behind the spinous processes.
