Q

Possible symptoms:

  1. PRI SERVO P warning light illuminated.
  2. SERVO JAM warning light illuminated.
  3. LIMIT lights illuminated (may not illuminate during reduced power flight).
  4. HYD2 press less than 720 psi.
  5. SERVO LIMIT annunciation on VEMD caution/fuel pg.
  6. High-pitched noise from transmission area.
  7. Stiffness in flight control pedals.
  8. Feedback in pedals.
A

PRIMARY HYDRAULIC (HYD2) SYSTEM MALFUNCTION

Corrective action:

  1. CRUISE AIRSPEED - 75 TO 100 KIAS.
  2. Avoid abrupt maneuvers.
  3. Land as soon as practicable.

Q

Possible symptoms:

  1. SEC SERVO P warning light illuminated.
  2. SEC HYD LO PRESS warning light illuminated.
  3. SERVO JAM warning light illuminated.
  4. SEC HYD ISOLATE warning light illuminated (if low fluid condition exists).
  5. HYD1 press less than 720 PSI.
  6. High-pitched noise from transmission area.
  7. Stiffness in flight control pedals.
  8. Feedback in pedals.
A

SECONDARY HYDRAULIC (HYD1) SYSTEM MALFUNCTION

Corrective action:

  1. CRUISE AIRSPEED - 75 TO 100 KIAS.
  2. Avoid abrupt maneuvers.

If SEC HYD ISOLATE light is on:

  1. Tail HYD isolate switch - NORM.
  2. SEC HYD circuit breaker - Check/reset only if popped.

If SEC HYD ISOLATE light remains on:
5. Tail HYD isolate switch - CUTOFF.

If wheels are not down:

  1. Emergency landing gear extension handle - PULL (leave handle in the extended position).
  2. Landing gear handle - DOWN.
  3. Safety pin - Install ( if available).

If wheels fail to extend:
9. Landing gear blow down bottle - Activate from the ground.

If wheels still fail to extend:

  1. Use external nitrogen canister via the landing gear nitrogen line T-fitting to extend the landing gear.
  2. Land as soon as practicable (due to limited braking ability, perform a vertical landing).
