Q

What indications will you get with the Spoiler Shutoff valve in OFF/ON/SYSTEM BYPASS?

A

ON (normal)= “L/R HYD PRESS LOW” not illuminated
Good pressure indication

OFF (depowers OFS)= “L/R HYD PRESS LOW” illuminated
Good pressure indication

SYSTEM BYPASS (Depowers System)= "L/R HYD PRESS LOW" illuminated
No pressure indication

14
Q

How is the nose steering affected when operating on one hydraulic system?

A

Steering to the opposite direction of the inop system will be reduced, max 55*
Ex. Right hydraulic system inop= reduced steering to the left

16
Q

What would a L/R HYD TEMP annunciator mean?

A

High fluid temp in the hydraulic reservoir

17
Q

What protections does the Aux Hyd pump have?

A

It will automatically shutdown if it overheats

Can be overridden in the OVRD position (emergency situation for short term use Ex. putting the gear down)

18
Q

What powers the motor for the Transfer Pump valve?

A

Right DC Bus

19
Q

When will the amber HYD QTY light illuminate?

A

Engines running- Below 4 qts

Engines shutdown= Below 8 qts on the right engine
Below 7 qts on the left engine

20
Q

How are the hydraulic pumps powered?

A

EDPs= Respective DC Bus

Transfer Pump= Right DC Bus

Aux Pump= Left Generator Bus
