Hydraulics Flashcards
In flight, the RAT deploys automatically if:
both engines are failed and center system pressure is low, or
both AC transfer busses are unpowered, or
all three hydraulic system pressures are low
The C system demand pumps (air) begin operating during the T/O roll to be ready for ……….And stop operating after landing gear retraction.
For gear extension only 1 is reqd
landing gear retraction.
The difference between C1 and C2 pumps?
C2 system can draw from the Standpipe level whereas C1 can actually draw anything that is left at the bottom of the tank.
Whilst the RAT is taking its time to deploy with a full AC failure, you will lose A/P, the ECL, all FOs instrument but will be left with Capt instruments, FOs radio panel, Left TCAS and a few other things. When the RAT powers up the a/c will essentially reboot and you will have to rebuild the MCP, override some of the normal checklists up to the point you were at before the failure etc. There will be a …..of non normal checklists to work through!
shit load 😁
