HYDRAULIC (ASM) Flashcards
How many hydraulic systems
2
What powers the systems
1 engine driven pump
1 electric motor driven pump
What system is on the priority valve on
System 1
Where is the HSV located
Between reservoir and engine driven pump
How do you shutoff hydraulic fluid
Fire Handle
Dedicated overhead button
What pressure does the Engine Driven Pump provide flow at
3000 PSI
Where is the Engine Driven Pump connected to
The accessory gearbox
What connections does the Electric Motor Driven Pump have
Same as EGP, but at a lower flow capacity
When does the Electric Motor Driven Pump turn on
When associated pump drops below 1600 PI or N2 drops below 56.4% N2
When does the Electric Motor Driven Pump turn off
When pressure or N2 are reestablished
What does the Electric Motor Driven Pump flow at
2900 PSI
Purpose of the Priority Valve
If Electric pump is in use and landing gear is retracted. Minimum flow is to gear, priority to flight controls. Accumulator stores pressure for gear.
How many Accumulators are there
1 per system
Purpose of the accumulators
Keep surges at a minimum
Keep 3000 PSI for landing gear and emergency parking brake
