Female gonads
-making & releasing female gametes-eggs
Two of them- release alternatively every 4 weeks
Produce sex hormones–>oestrogen & progesterone
Only release after puberty has started

Male gonads -produce male gametes-sperm Made of millions of tiny coiled tubes -cells forming walls of tubes are constantly dividing to produce up to 100 million sperm per day Outside body -work best just below body temp -held by scrotum

-lined with Cilia-help eggs move
-also known as Fallopian tubes
Fertilisation occurs 1/3 of way along oviducts
