Define a balanced diet
A balanced diet is a diet consisting of carbohydrates, fats, fiber, protein, water, mineral salts, vitamins, and water, which are taken in adequate proportions to supply energy and maintain good health.
Name the two mineral salts
Iron and Calcium
Define obesity
Eating too much in excess can lead to the accumulation of fat, having excess fat in the body leads to obesity.
Describe coronary heart disease
It is when fat can lead to high cholesterol levels, which will stick to the walls of arteries and block them when the coronary arteries become blocked it will result in coronary heart disease.
If there is an imbalance in the nutrient intake what can it lead to?

A lack of vitamin C

A severe shortage of energy in the diet

Bleeding under the skin, swollen & bleeding gums, poor healing of wounds
