What is trade?
Movement of goods and information.
Describe what is meant by urban.
An area of land which is mainly covered in buildings.
What is quality of life?
How content people are with their lives and environment in
which they live.
What are tertiary activities?
Jobs that provide a service for people, e.g. teaching, nursing
and shopping.
What are secondary activities?
Where natural resources are turned or manufactured into
goods that we can use, e.g. cars, computers.
What are primary activities?
Jobs that involve the collecting and using of natural
resources, e.g. farming, fishing, mining and forestry.
What is human geography?
Human geography is the branch of geography that deals with how humans influence the natural enviroment.
What is economic geography about?
Is about industry, jobs, earning a living and wealth.
What are communications?
The ways in which people, goods and ideas move from one
place to another.
What is migration?
The movement of people from one place to another to live or work.
What is a settlement?
A place where people live
What is population?
The people who live in an area
