Q

How did we present the EQS data and why was it good

A

A

Overall very good quality
Average score being 6.5/20
Best location was number 1, furthest away from town centre and worst was 19, scoring 10/20 which was on the High street next to a takeaway

14
Q

What were the problems with the questionnaire

A

Not everyone wanted to answer it so may be a slightly biased view towards people that were friendlier so would generally have a better option of Keswick
Went during weekday so not many families were there due to work and school, so most answers were from older people who might have different opinion

15
Q

What were the problems with the EQS

A

It is subjective so it was difficult to decide on a rating within a group
Was carried out at different times of the day so the results will be varied

16
Q

How were our questionnaire results reliable

A

Large sample size as 180 people answered it

17
Q

How could we improve the EQS

A

Have a key which described each score so we had something to compare to

18
Q

How might the time of year affect our results

A

We could visit Keswick in all season and average the results as it may get more tourists in summer compared to winter due to favourable weather

19
Q

What was our conclusion from the EQS

A

Tourists do not damage the natural environment as the EQS scores were low and good, but there were large amounts of litter in areas of high footfall and near to food retailers

20
Q

What was our conclusion from the questionnaire?

A

Tourists are very important to the economy of Keswick, 50% were tourists and 50% were there to spend over £100
They will create lots of jobs
