what are the 4 basic types of tissue
Epithelial, Nervous, Connective, Muslcle
What are the functions of Epithelial tissue?
It provides physical protection, provides sensation, Produces specialised secretions, control permeability.
What’s anatomy
Structure of an organ system and the relationship of its parts
Describe physiology
Function of an organ system and its parts
What are the 3 types of connective tissue
Aerosol tissue least specialised and most common in adults
Adipose tissue found deep in the skin eg breasts
Reticular tissue found in spleen, kidney, liver, lymph nodes and bone marrow. It forms a tough flexible network taht provides support and resists distortion
What are 4 essential features of epithelial tissue
Provides physical protection
Control permeability
Provides sensation
Produces specialised secretions
Learn each in detail
What are 3 types of muscle tissue
Skeletal moves the body by pulling bones
Cardial- contractions move the blood within heart and through blood vessels
Smooth- move solids and fluids through the digestive tract and regulate diameters of small arteries
What’s nervous tissue
Specialised to conduct electrical impulses from one region of the body to another
