- Vows = affirms life long marriage, verbalises commitment
- I: personal relationship with God
- C: others that hear the vows are inspired to achieve a similar relationship.

Teaching: The Holy Trinity
A
- Belief that Christian need to connect to God through the father, son and holy spirit.
- Through relationship and marriage, the couple is able to extend their relationship to the parts of the trinity.
- father = relo with God
- Son = having eucharist present
connects to 2nd part of the trinity of bread and wine. - orthodox: crowning of bride / groom = commitment to the trinity.
