1-EXPLAIN why source is surprising/reliable & trustworthy/not trustworthy
(Is it reliable or typical in provennance? Is it accurate in content? Does it match up with YOK?
2- include DETAILS of source + YOK to explain
3- mini conclusion –> reliable or not
Why was the souce published ? 8 marks –> purpose question (4)
1) What is the MESSAGE
2) consider CREATOR of source + what you know about them (provenance)
3) conaider context of the TIME
4) PURPOSE - why was this source publish? IA
Are you suprised question
1) WHAT is the source saying + to WHO (IA)
2) are you surprised by what is described in the source or by the fact that the author saying it? Purpose
3) include context knowledge YOK
4) mini conclusion –> respond directly to question (is it surprising? In some ways)
Eg. At first sight, I am surprised because of the differences in what the sources say… (then details)
However, I am not surprised because of the context in which they were produced… (give details)
Or the purpose… (think of intended impact)
