It is a system of govt where powers are divided between the country and provinces.
Name two federal powers.
Banks/Money, Army/Defense, Indian Affairs, Fisheries, Postal Service, Criminal Law, Census, Residual Powers
Name two provincial powers.
Local Issues, Health/Welfare, Marriage/Divorce, Education, Social Services, Status of Women, Property Laws, Licenses
Name two shared powers.
Taxation, Roads/Highways, Immigration, Agriculture
What are residual powers?
Leftover powers that were not included or not thought of in original Constitution.

Name two facts about the House of Commons
It is where laws are made and the members are elected by the people.
Describe the 3 sections of the House of Commons.
- Executive Branch (PM and Cabinet Ministers) - make big decisions about how the country will run.
- Legislative Branch (MPs) - debate and try to change laws
- Judicial Branch (courts) - make sure laws are obeyed
