What is SOCIAL CLASS?
People are born into a social circle and tend to stay there.
What is ECONOMIC CLASS?
People are divided into different economic groups depending on the amount of money that they have to spend.
What three things does social class depend on and influences your level of economic class?
1) Background
2) Occupation
3) Level of education
How do you identify housing for LOW INCOME families?
-Is informal
-Government provided shacks.
How do you identify housing for MIDDLE INCOME families?

How do you identify housing for HIGH INCOME families?

Describe housing needs in a cultural context.
Different cultures have different norms, values, traditions and social habits.
It is in cooking food that these cultural differences are most evident, therefore the functions, locations, sizes, organisation, equipment, and relation to other settings in the house will vary accordingly.
