Describe break A of the Hornpipe

A

Step LF in 5th rear position then shuffle RF (7 & 2); hop LF, taking RF to the rear to step in 5th rear position, then shuffle LF (& 3 & 4); Hop RF taking LF to the rear to step in 5th rear position (& 8), step RF towards 4th int position then close LF to RF in 1st, 3rd or 5th rear position (2 3 (4)).

Describe the basic introduction of the Hornpipe

A

Stand on the LF flat facing RDF with arms in 2nd position, the knee of the right leg relaxed with the heel of the RF placed in 3rd 5th or towards 4th int pos, the heel of that foot raised well off the ground. (Body weight should be on rear foot. Instep pressure on front foot produces strong beat on ball)
B1&2 Execute four heel-taps with RF 1 (2) 3 (4) 2 (2) 3 (4)
B3&4 Repeat B1&2
B5 - Hop LF, step RF towards 2nd position, close LF to 3rd rear position then, step RF towards 2nd position (& 5 2 3 (4)
(Arms: 8th action - Hitching, right arm in front)
B6 - Hop RF, step LF towards 2nd position, close RF to 3rd rear position then, place ball of LF towards 4th int pos with the heel raised well off the ground and the knee of the left leg relaxed (& 6 2 3 (4)
(Arms: 8th action with left arm in front)
B7&8 Execute three heel-taps with LF 7 (2) 3 (4) 8 (2) then, extend LF towards 4th int aer position with straight leg or with knee slightly bend and slap the left thigh with the palm of left hand 3 (4).
[Doesn’t matter which direction you slap.]
(Arms: 2nd position until the ‘thigh slap’)

Describe 1st step of Hornpipe

A

B1 Step forward LF and brush RF to (SOB ‘07 “towards”) 4th int aer pos (1 2); Hop LF taking RF inwards to reach 3rd aer pos simultaneously on landing then immediatey re-extend to 4th int aer pos (3); hop LF taking RF inwards to 3rd aer pos (4)
