Q
Causes
A
Pancoast tumour
Carotid artery dissection

Cocaine blocks NA reuptake
Therefore normally this would cause dilation
However in Horner’s syndrome, there’s no neurotrasnmitter
3
Q
Apraclonidine
A
Weak alpha 1 agonist
4
Q
Apraclonidine
A
Weak alpha 1 agonist therefore normally it’s too weak to compete with noradrenaline and cause dilation of pupil, but it Horner’s there’s no NA therefore it does cause pupil dilation
