What is Horner’s Syndrome?
A
Horner’s syndrome is characterised by ptosis, meiosis with or without anhydrosis. It is due to an interruption of the sympathetic nerve supply to the eye and can be classified into pre-ganglion causes, post ganglionic causes and central causes.

What are the causes of Horner’s Syndrome?
A
Pancoast tumour (affecting sympathetic nerve supply)
Stroke
Carotid artery dissection (Red flag: neck pain)

A
Ptosis is when the upper eyelid droops over the eye.

A
Anhidrosis is a condition in which you can’t sweat (perspire) normally in one or more areas of your body.
