Secreted By corpus luteum and Placenta
Responsible for maintance of endometrium
Inhibits release of LH
Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG)
Secreted by cells after implantation and placenta
Maintains corpus luteum to enable it top continue to produce progesterone til placenta is formed
Prolactin
Released BY pituitary glands
Maintains milk production through pregnancy
prepares breast for milk production
Oxytocin
Released through pituitary glands
Stimulates uterine contraction at birth
produce the milk “let down response
