- To be homosexual is NOT a sin, to act on it IS A SIN
- God made male and female according to the book of Genesis to complete each other and PROCREATE
- Even if a couple are unable to have children, sexual union is theoretically open to the production of children
Protestant Christian beliefs on Homosexuality
- Ideally relationships should be heterosexual, but any relationship of love is a reflection of God’s love
- It is not right to forbid any action that is a physical expression of genuine love
- God created everyone including homosexuals
- Jesus taught to “love thy neighbour” therefore no discrimination against same sex couples
Islamic beliefs on Homosexuality
- As a rule they do not accept homosexuality
- There is a belief it goes against the will of Allah and teachings of the Qur’an

Can same-sex marriages take place in places of worship in Britain?
- They were legalised in England and Wales in 2013
- The law states places of worship DO NOT have to marry same-sex couples
- Homosexuals would not be allowed to marry in an Angelical or Catholic church, or a Mosque

Human beings should find personal happiness in this life-time and same-sex relationships are a positive expression of this view
