Describe the process of filtration in the kidneys
A
The blood is taken into the kidneys, where the ions, water, glucose and urea are all filtered from the blood by osmosis and diffusion from the blood vessels to the kidney tubules.
All of the glucose, some of the ions and some of the water is selectively reabsorbed.

What happens to the urea, and excess water and ions remaining in the kidney?

They are transported to the bladder and passed out as urine
