Regulation body temperature, rid of excess body hear when hot and retain when cold

A
Receptors that are sensitive to blood temperature in the brain

A
Impulses from receptors in the skin

What is vasodilation?
A
Blood vessels close to surface of skin dilate (widen) and allows more blood to flow near surface so it can transfer heat to surroundings

What is vasoconstriction?
A
Blood vessels constrict so less blood flows near surface so less heat is transferred to surroundings
