reductionism is the view that human behaviour can be explained through reducing behaviour into simpler parts. based on the scientific principle of parsimony- idea all should be explained in the simplest terms possible

refers to the way biological psychologists reduce behaviour to its physical level- genetics, neurons, neurotransmitters hormones

A

rose proposed different levels of explanation. the lowest level is biological explanations, middle level is psychological explanations(cognitive and behavioural). the highest is social and cultural explanations- influence of social groups(DAT theory)
