Wear gloves and use inspection and palpation

pink, moist without inflammation and exudates. Tonsils should be pink and +1, no difficulty swallowing( dysphagia)

trachea midline, unable to palpate thyroid gland

assess for size, shape, mobility, consistency, tenderness, comparing nodes bilaterally
