16
Q

When would the Battery Ventilation Essential Exhaust Fans be used? What trips them?

A

SIAS or LOP

high D/P

17
Q

When would the discharge dampers of the Control Room Toilet and Control Room Kitchen Exhaust get isolated? Where are the hand switches controlled from?

A

Upon a LOP, SIAS, CREFAS, or CRVIAS
Fan will stay running

locally

18
Q

What does WC do for HJ?

A

Provides chilled water for control room normal, control building normal and ESF switch gear room normal (both trains) cooling coils

19
Q

What is the interlock associated with starting the Control Room Normal AHU?

A

Will not start unless both discharge dampers are open. A closure of either damper will trip the AHU

20
Q

What would cause the Control Room Normal AHU isolation dampers to close?

A

SIAS, LOP, CREFAS or CRVIAS

21
Q

What two elevations does the Control Room Normal AHU supply to?

A

120’, 140’

22
Q

When would the Battery Room Normal Exhaust fans auto stop?

A

When its respective room CO2 flood system actuates or the associated Essential Exhaust fan starts (Sensed by a high D/P across the Essential Fan)

23
Q

What must be done prior to start the Smoke Removal fan?

A

Align a suction path

24
Q

How many levels can I align the Smoke Removal to?

A

One at a time

25
Q

A LOP, SIAS, CRVIAS or CREFAS signal will prevent smoke removal of what level?

A

140’

26
Q

A LOP or SIAS signal will prevent smoke removal from what level?

A

100’

27
Q

What does EC do for the HJ system?

A

chilled water for switch gear and equipment room essential train A and B AHU cooling coils

28
Q

Why are there isolation dampers installed in the control building normal ventilation system?

A

it shares the ductwork with the control building essential units so the dampers isolate the normal and essential units from each other

29
Q

During smoke removal in the control building, where is fresh air drawn in form?

A

outside air intake plenum

30
Q

Why are the fire dampers in the class switchgear and battery rooms interlocked with the fire protection system?

A

if a CO2 discharge takes place, fire dampers are prevented from closing for 3.5 minutes to avoid over pressurization
