The shutdown butterfly valve is the only direct mechanical trip that will trip the DG on a loss of control air. How do you reset the valve?
pull the butterfly handle until it latches and then reset the OS (over-speed) governor
In the jacket water system, at what air temperature in the turbo compressor outlet will water run through a small heater core to maintain warm combustion air in the intake manifold?

What drives the DG turbocharger?

What is the effect of losing control power to the diesel generator?
it will cause the DG to trip and lose capability of tripping the output breaker

what is the effect on the DG if control air is lost?

Why is there refrigerant in the air dryers?
to reduce the dew point of the air, helps to remove condensation
How many individual starting air systems are there and are they interconnected or completely independent from each other?

In the starting air system, what happens when the manual shut off valve at the outlet of each air receiver is not in its normal, full open position?
