- Suppression of HIV replication
- Increase in CD4 lymphocytes
What is initial tx for HIV?
Minimum of 3 active antiretroviral agents from at least 2 drug classes
What does the 1st HIV regimen include?
2 NRTIs + INSTI, an NNRTI, or a PI boosted w/cobicistat orritonavir
*Cobicistat & Ritonavir increase the effectiveness of the PI
