How does HIV demonstrate evolution in real time?
A
from the moment of infection, it is under a massive assault from the immune system, which initially drives rapid changes in the outer envelope protein in gp120 and antibodies are developed and the strain dies out a new strain is developed with a different outer envelope which becomes the predominant one.
