Why was the Weimar Republic weak?
A
- Republic and democracy were forced upon them.
- Not enough people supported them - they believed the Weimar government betrayed the people of Germany by signing the Treaty of Versailles.
- Lots of small parties that wish to overthrow the government

A
- The Great Depression led to unpopular government policies to try to lift Germany out of it.

- Provided scapegoats as Hitler blamed the Jews and communists
