Why was the reformation set up?

A

The priests weren’t taught to read the bible, they were just taught cheap because the church didn’t want to spend money on them
No one could read the bible because it was in Latin and the church didn’t translate it
People only wanted to be priests for the money that they got
The monks were not properly educated
The church pretended to have sacred items and made people pay to see them
The church made people pay for their sins so that they would have a “definite place in Heaven”

A

Thee weren’t enough settlers and there was constant attack from the native Irish
The land and climate were not as good as expected and attacks from Irish raiders made life difficult and dangerous for the settlers
