why did the black death break out when and where it did?
The black death broke out by fleas from black rats, it started on 1348 in central asia.
how did living conditions at the time aid the spread of the disease?
living conditions at the time were often dirty, and germs could breed quickly. Lice and Mites lived in people’s hairs and on their skins.
symptoms
painful swelling called ‘buboes’ appear in the victim’s armpits and groin and have the size of an egg or apple. The victim gets a bad fever and vomits, bleeding under the skin causes blotches under the body, the swelling bursts and a black liquid oozes out of it.
how did the population try to protect themselves against the disease
had the whole family in lockdown, carried flowers, herbs and spices and kept smelling them, fled to other countries
what were the consequences of the black death in Europe and other parts of the world
around 33% of wales and England’s population died and it took 250 years to regain them, the feudal system collapsed and lords saw their lands decrease and lost a lot of money.
