Proximal Convoluted Tubule

Mesangial cell in mesangial matrix

Podocytes

Filtration slit diaphragm, pedicels, basal lamina

peritubular capillaries

macula densa cells

endothelial cell nuclei

collecting tubule
What is this structure?

Ureter
1) Lumen
2) Transitional epithelium
3) smooth muscle
4) lamina propria
5) adventitia
This is in the urinary bladder
Plaques above urothelium
kidney

capsule (adventitia)

Top left circled area - extraglomerular mesangial cells
Vascular pool is indicated area
Cells on outside of mesangial matrix are podocytes
Cells on inside of mesangial matrix are intraglolumerular mesangial P

Circled area are medullary rays
To the left is the cortical labyrnth which has corpuscles and convoluted portions of tubules

proximal toward bottom (3) - fuzzy
distal towards top - more defined

collecting ducts
this is where the true transitional epithelium begins

MINOR CALYX

medullary rays

arcuate artery and vein

vasa recta

ureter ILOC

transitional epithelium of ureter

Inner longitudinal and outer circular muscles of ureter

urothelium of urinary bladder
urinary bladder

Muscularis on left, LP on right, urothelium on far right

simple squamous layer - mesothelium/ serosa of urinary bladder on superior aspect where meets the peritoneum

male urethra - highly vascular corpus spongiosum just outside

stratified squamous at the end of the male urethra

female ureter

j point st elevation

NSTEMI - ST depression
