Insertion - lesser trochanter
Action - hip flexion/trunk flexion at hip

A

Origins - superior pubic Ramus
Insertion - lesser trochanter to the Linea aspera (pectineal line)
Action - flexes and adducts the thigh

A

Origin - the long head (straight)comes from the anterior inferior iliac spine. The short head (reflected) comes from the ilium above the acetabulum
Insertion - quadriceps tendon of the patella
Action - extends the knee and flexes the hip
