Origins - outer surface of ilium
Insertion - lateral greater trochanter
Action - abducts and medially rotates the pelvis (anterior fibres)
What is the origin, insertion and action for Gluteus minimus
Origin - outer surface of ilium
Insertions - anterior surface of greater trochanter
Action - abducts and medially rotates the pelvis (anterior fibres)
What is the origin, insertion and action for Tensor fasciae latae
Origin - anterior superior iliac spine and lateral iliac crest
Insertions - illiotibial band and Gerdy’s tubercle lateral aspect of proximal tibia
Action - flexes and medially rotates the thigh
