Most common complications were greenstick fracture of the ischium, isolated screw loosening, screw breakage, incomplete ilium fracture, partial caudal plate avulsion, iatrogenic sciatic neuropraxia, suspected SSI, persistent pain and lameness.
Overall complication rates were 0.6% (major) and 8% (minor).
Increasing weight and right compared to left sided DPO increased the risk of complications.

Success rate of 89%.
Urinary retention (18%), vomiting/regurgitation (8%), and sciatic neuropraxia (6%). Unsure as to contribution of epidural to these complications, although some likely related to surgical technique +/- additional post-op care (i.e. opioid administration).
