Q

Trochanteric bursitis

A

Decrease friction (between ITB, glut med/min, and greater trochanter)
Excessive shear/compression leads to bursa inflamed and pain
MOI-fall lateral hip, repetitive flex and extension activity
Symptoms-lateral hip pain
Aggravating-ipsilateral side laying, repeated flex/ext in weight-bearing
Objective-positive ober test (ITB length restriction)
