(this is how we are able to stimulate 2 electrodes simultaneously) - 83,000 PPS capable
- Up to 120 spectral bands
- low-profile titanium housing
- MRI safe with agent removed @ 0.3 and 1.5 Tesla
- IntelliLink for safety
- HiFocus electrode options (1J, Helix, Mid Scala)
- Upgradeable electronics platform
What is IntelliLink
when patient is programmed, if they take off their headpiece and use someone else’s, it won’t stimulate the device that it won’t work on.
HiFocus Mid-Scala Electrode Placement
- Floats Mid Scala (middle of scala tympani)
- Designed to protect delicate structures of cochlea (avoid trauma to osseous spiral lamina and basilar membrane)
- Electrodes located central to perimodiolar
HiFocus Mid-Scala Insertion Depth
- Consistent insertion depth
- Mean depth 422˚
- Suits all cochlea sizes
- pCovers low-frequency-receptive regions of spiral ganglion cells
HiFocus Mid-Scala electrode diameters
at 1st contact: 0.5mm
at 16th contact (last one in): 0.7mm
HiFocus Mid-Scala Insertion
- Cochleostomy approach (smallest 0.8mm) OR
- Round window approach
- Insertion with or without tool to provide
• best possible visualization of the cochlea
• precise control of the angle and speed of insertion
HiFocus Mid-Scala Overall
- Industry’s thinnest pre-curved array
- Optimal cochlear placement
- Focus stimulation
- Ideal platform for current tearing
Implant Reliability
- AB CIs demonstrate high reliability with 99.83% one-year cumulative survival rate (CSR)
- (CSR- measure defining likelihood of device continuing to function over time)
- Reliability at 5 years: 98.6%
Difference between 90K and 90K Advantage
90K Advantage has Industry’s highest case impact resistance- up to 6 Joules

- Reliability you can count on with 99.83% CSR at 1 yr
System Reliability
Naída CI guaranteed water resistant by design
Neptune guaranteed water proof
internal reliability meets or surpasses industry standard
Can count on hearing everyday, all day without having to worry if their sound processor will live up to their lifestyle
Naída CI Q70 compared to Harmony
size and aesthetics
40% smaller
- smaller in size, but not in performance
- as thin as industry-leading power HA
Up to 55% performance improvement
- ClearVoice, UltraZoom, ZoomControl
100% wireless connectivity
- DuoPhone, QuickSync, AB myPilot, ComPilot, RemoteMic, TVLink
Naída CI Q70 Color Options
Naída CI and UHP: 12 color options
Button color: white, gray, or black (based on selected color of sound processor)
UHP cable
colors and sizes
Cable colors:
- black
- white
- beige
- brown
5 Lengths:
- 3.5”
- 4.25”
- 5.5”
- 9.5”
- 12”
Ear hook sizes
- Small (typically for peds)
- Standard (most adults)
Each Naída CI comes with standard ear hook (both small and standard sizes) and T-Mic2
Can put ear mold on ear hook if not wearing T-mic to keep in place for children.
T-Mic 2 sizes
large- adult men
medium- women and teens
small- children
Each Naída CI comes with standard ear hook (both small and standard sizes) and T-Mic2
T-Mic2
- Utilizes outer ear’s natural sound-gathering capabilities (like normal hearing ears)
- wires conformable
- redesigned using Phonak in-the-ear receiver technology, making it smaller and more reliable
- Has additional mic saver component to protect the mic from dirt, dust, and debris
T-Mic2 Cover- how often to change
Change every 3-4 months
Recipients get several and clinics have extras
How to change the earhook
Need Pin removal tool
Don’t need to push out all the way
If falls out, have small hole at end of pin to assist with replacing pin.
Clinics get pins free (if patients run out, have to pay…)
