A leader that adapts to the needs of the empolyees and the work environment
Effective Leadership
A leader who can adapt theri behaviour to the situation.
Maturity
A combination of willingness and ability to perform the task
High Maturity
Individuals that arre highly capable, confident and work well independently
Moderate High Maturity
Employees who are capable but lack confidence to take on full responsiblity.
Moderate Low Maturity
Empolyees who have confidence but lack the willingness to complete tasks
Low Maturity
Enthusiastic employees who lack skills to perform tasks.
Readiness Levels
Four stages of readiness that describe the readiness of wmployees to perfrom tasks
R1
Unable and unwilling, like new empolyees
R2
Employees who are learning, becoming more confident but still unable to complete all responsibilies
R3
Employees who are recently promotoed and have movedeto a new area.
R4
Able and willing to do the task. Confident
S1 (Telling)
A Leadership style for low readiness followers, providing explicit instruction
S2 (Selling)
A Leadership style for low readiness followers, involving persuasion and support
