How is Hep B transmitted?
Blood/bodily fluids mainly
Also vertical transmission from mother to child in pregnancy

Active Hep B infection

Vaccinated against Hep B

Cleared Hep B spontaneously

Chronic Hep B infection, low risk

Screen for other blood borne viruses
Referral to gastro, hep, or infectious diseases
Notify public health Wales
Stop drinking alcohol and smoking
Educate about reducing transmission
Test for complications I.e fibroscan for cirrhosis
Antiviral meds
Liver transplant for end stage disease
