Past medical history, liver assessment, skin assessment, alcohol use, diet, travel outside of country, Blood tests and clotting factors and LFT
What is looked for to diagnose Hep B?
Surface antigen

Comfort measures; F/E replacement; rest; adequate nutrition; avoid damage to liver
When does the liver usually heal in hep. A?
6mon
Pt. education for Hep. A?
Safe sex practices; hand hygiene; don’t prepare food; safe drinking water and sewage disposal; get vaccinated
Eating food handled by someone w/ this.; sexual contact; drinking contaminated water; eating raw shellfish w/ polluted sewage; and being in close contact to a person w/ someone w/ this are all what?
