A

A non agression pact between the major European nations. They agreed not to attack each other.

A

Wolsey hijacked it and held it in London to show England as a central power.
However it was broken in months

What was the Battle of Flodden?

A

Started when Henry tore up the Treaty of perpetual peace in 1509.
When Henry was about to invade France. Scotland invaded so it was led by Catherine of Aragon and the Earl of Surrey.
Arguably one of his biggest successes
17 month old James crowned king.

A

A meeting between Henry and Francis were they were competed against each other in Jousting etc.
No expense was spared and it was very diplomatic

A

Part of the Italian wars

Henry sailed to Calais and took Theroanne and Tournai.

A

Tournai and Theroanne were not that important and would not help Henry very much only cost him money to garrison his troops.

A

A

A

Created to curb Venetian Influence in Northern Italy. Henry VII was left out but Henry VIII was welcomed in.

A

Conflict from the election of Charles as Emperor and France Charles said he would support Henry’s second invasion of France. However it was far to ambitious and did not have the people’s support and Charles instead captured Francis agreed to temporary peace terms and let him go not supporting Henry.

A

Henry raises money for troops with the amicable grant and benevolences and as they were so unpopular Henry had to stop the tax.
