it became too popular and justice became slow

1525- was heavy tax in order to pay for war , almost lead to a rebellion

strongest resistance occurred in north Essex and south Suffolk. 1000 people gathered in Essex and 4000 in Suffolk.

the Catholic church did not allow it without a reasonable cause

in the book Leviticus- it prohibited a man marrying his brothers widow
however Catherine claimed the marriage with Arthur had never been consummated
