Battle of Bosworth - Henry defeats Richard III and becomes King.
22nd August 1485
Henry is crowned King of England.
30th October 1485
Henry calls Parliament for the first time.
7th November 1485
Henry marries Elizabeth of York, uniting the feuding houses of York and Lancaster.
January 1486
Henry goes on a royal progress to Yorkshire in order to consolidate his reign.
April 1486
Henry’s first son and heir, Prince Arthur is born.
September 1486.
Acts of Resumption were passed - Henry reclaimed all the Crown Lands that had been granted away since the start of the Wars of Roses.

Elizabeth of York is coronated.
November 1487.
Impersonated Richard, Duke of York and then switched to impersonating the Earl of Warwick. He was captured at the Battle of Stoke, but spared by Henry, who gave him a job in the royal kitchens.

Another pretender who claimed to be Richard, Duke of York. He attracted patronage from foreign rulers which made him a serious threat to Henry’s reign. Eventually, he was captured, accused of treason, and executed with the real Earl of Warwick.
