A

Lots of money was being sent to the pope, such as First Fruits and Tenths and Annates as well as money being invested in monastic tradition
This money could more than double the crown’s revenue
He did act on this in the Act of Annates 1534 and the Appointments of Bishops Act 1533 which gave him both of these things as well as the dissolution 1536-39.

Q

What was teh divorce motivation to break with rome

A

THe entire thing was started with Henry’s aims to achieve an annulment from Catherine of Aragon
This started the dodgy tensions with the Pope at Blackfriars in 1529 as well as being the primary motivation for the creation of a new church - for Henry to not have to abide by the Catholic rules of annulment.
